The water supply sector is a failure story. These companies that are under the auspices of the Municipalities, in addition to failing to supply water to the cities and villages of the country 24 hours a day, have large losses that are not billed and have created 11.5 billion ALL arrears with electricity bills.
The annual report of the Water Regulatory Authority also submitted a request for an increase in the tariff for water service, as out of 58 companies only 12 of them covered losses and the main reason for this was the increase in energy prices, as well as the high number of abusive employments. and of a political nature, which did not bring productivity.
