European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has visited the town of Bucha near Kiev in northern Ukraine, where civilian bodies were found lying on the streets after Russia’s withdrawal.
“It’s unimaginable what happened here. We are seeing the cruel face of Putin’s armySaid von der Leyen during her visit to Bucha.
Von der Leyen was accompanied by Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell and Slovak Prime Minister Eduard Heger.
The horrific scenes of the human massacre in Bucha, Ukraine, where hundreds of people were found killed and thrown to the ground, provoked a series of reactions from EU and US leaders, who promised more punishments to Russia.
The latter has not admitted these crimes, calling the published photos a ‘provocation’ to Moscow.
