The draw for the Qatar 2022 World Cup reserves some very interesting matches, but which one is the strongest?
It is a tradition that after each draw of the World Cup, the “Death Group” is chosen, the group consisting of the four strongest teams.
The draw for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar has brought many beautiful groups, but which one is the most difficult?
The full draw of the group stage of the 2022 World Cup
Group A: Qatar, Ecuador, Netherlands, Senegal
Group B: England, Iran, USA, Wales
Group C: Argentina, Saudi Arabia, Mexico, Poland
Group D: France, Australia, Denmark, Tunisia
Group E: Spain, Costa Rica, Germany, Japan
Group F: Belgium, Canada, Morocco, Croatia
Group G: Brazil, Serbia, Switzerland, Cameroon
Group H: Portugal, Ghana, Uruguay, South Korea
What is the “Death Group”? It seems that the toughest group in Qatar 2022 is Group E, which features two former world champions from Europe and perhaps Asia’s strongest contender. Spain was world champions in 2010 for the last time, while Germany was last in 2014.
They both have to be wary of Japan as Costa Rica tried out in the “Death Group” in 2014, with England, Italy and Uruguay in a quarter-final race.
