A 25-year-old man was arrested in Pogradec, after helping four illegal immigrants to cross the border.
The young man with the initials M. Ç., a resident of Tirana, had immigrants in his “Volkswagen” type vehicle, to whom he had promised passage to the EU countries against a reward.
The police operation “Perimeter 184” was finalized with the arrest of the author, while work is ongoing to identify and bring to legal responsibility the other persons involved in this event.
The materials were handed over to the Prosecutor’s Office at the Pogradec Judicial District Court, for the criminal offense of “Aiding illegal border crossing”, carried out in collaboration.
