Omicron, a variant of the coronavirus, spreads faster than delta and causes infections in people who have already been vaccinated or cured of COVID-19, warned the director general of the World Health Organization (WHO), Tedros Adana Gebrejesus.
“There is now evidence that the omicron variant is spreading much faster than the delta strain,” Tedros told a news conference at the new WHO headquarters in Geneva.
