Former political persecuted Simon Miraka has spoken about the rejection of his candidacy as a member of the Former State Security Files Authority, due to Berisha’s signature.
In an interview with Sokol Balla for Top Story, Miraka said that the firing of the signature by Sali Berisha was done consciously to appreciate his contribution and not intentional that the name not be voted in the Assembly.
“Berisha is a former president, a former prime minister, a party leader and a protagonist of the fall of communism along with others. The dismissal of that firm was not done without awareness by Mr. Berisha. He has signed it for my consideration and contribution. He can not play with his own dignity, once signed, once removed. He did not sign it with sonabul, but consciously. I think that was the reason, it does not occur to me that he did it on purpose“, Said Miraka in Top Story.
Sali Berisha’s signature on the letter that went to the Assembly was the official reason for Simon Miraka to be overthrown not only by the Socialists, but also by the Democrats. If Berisha withdrew the signature from Miraka’s name, he would have been voted in the Assembly, but such a thing did not happen.
