The president of the country, Ilir Meta, answered the questions of the journalists if he will be politically involved in the local by-elections of March 6.
From the September of Ismail Qemali in Tirana, where he paid homage on the occasion of the 103rd anniversary of his death, Meta announced that very soon, he will face “those who miss him”.
Asked if he would be active in the March 6 local elections, Meta replied:
“The time of the puppet theater in politics ended on April 25, so President Ilir Meta has neither participated, nor will he participate in a party political contest until July 24.
After July 24 we will talk to the heroic people, patriots of March 2 and all those who have longed to face Ilir Meta, will have this opportunity very soon“, Said the President.
The honor for the author of the Declaration of Independence, Meta described as a moment of reflection on politics in our country:
“It is an important moment to appreciate and bow with reverence not only to the sacrifices and a lifetime of the founding father of our state, Ismail Qemali, but above all to show respect to this personality of history.
It is also a moment to reflect everyone, to strengthen our state, to establish the sovereignty of our people, to strengthen all institutions”.
