After almost 14 hours, the fires in Kruja have been brought under control by firefighters and volunteers who were involved in fighting the flames on Tuesday.
Civil emergencies near the prefecture of Durrës announced that around 7:35 p.m. the fire broke out in the forest area behind the cement factory in Fushë Krujë, on Mali i Tole.
The fire was detected at 05:30 in the morning and during the day it damaged at least 5 ha of pines and bushes.
Two fire engines, 10 firefighters, 8 volunteers and a police patrol were deployed to extinguish the fires.
