Yugoslavia, a country in Southeast Europe, created in 1918 as the “Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes”, renamed Yugoslavia a decade later, brought together many different cultural territories and ethnicities that were part of the former Austro-Hungarian Empire.
