19 people lost their lives in a tavern in the township of Soweto, South Africa, after a group of men opened fire on those present.
The perpetrators arrived in a taxi and opened fire at the Orlando East bar, then sped away.
The area police chief said that the perpetrators used a high-caliber firearm and fired randomly. The area where the shooting occurred was very dark, making it more difficult to find people who could identify the suspects, he said.
The shooting at the Soweto bar comes two weeks after 21 teenagers were found dead in a tavern in the East London town.
The cause of these deaths has not yet been made known by the authorities.
