A mother of three was the driver of the escape after an armed robbery of a value van in Britain, from where at least 25,000 pounds were taken.
Shera Patrick, 29, was behind the wheel of an Audi A3 traveling at 220km / h after two gunmen neutralized a security guard at a Lloyds TSB bank in Manchester.
In the moments before the attack Patrick was seen circling the area in the sports vehicle as her accomplices watched the guard and then trapped him.
An hour after the robbery, late student Patrick, had sent a voice message to gang members saying she was unhappy with the amount earned and that she was ‘terrified’ of the action.
After spending some of the robbery money, Patrick was arrested at the wheel of her Audi car two days later after being identified on security cameras.
In Manchester court, Patrick and her accomplice Thomas Waraick, also 29, were jailed today each for four years after admitting to robbery. A second accomplice William Robinson will be convicted later.
The robbery took place at noon July 22 when value officer Jason Cook had parked his van to collect the money.
Prosecutor Philip Barnes said: “The Audi A3 passed three times in front of the bench and the van. “The camera shows that the vehicle was driven by a woman with blonde hair.”
“The Audi then stopped in the middle of the road and Robinson came out of the passenger seat masked on his head.
“Audi left and Robinson and Warwick approached Mr. Cook from behind who heard a commanding voice from behind ‘Release the box’. He was then hit in the arm with a rubber truncheon and consequently dropped the box. “
“Warwick took the box of money and they both went back to Audi.”
“Cook immediately activated the silent robbery alarm as well as a detonator that destroys the money in the box, but since the time passed from the attack and his mention, he is not sure if the money detonator succeeded in destroying them.”
In a statement, Officer Cook said: “No one has the right to attack me as I do the work I have been doing for 10 years. “The incident left me traumatized and brought back memories of another attack in 2005 in which those responsible have not yet been caught by justice.”
