34-year-old Albanian Ergys Dashi is suspected of being the head of a criminal group who trafficked drugs in several European countries.
He was executed while having dinner at a restaurant in the Ecuadorian city of Guayaquil.
While eating dinner, two people with flowers in their hands avoided checks for a vaccination certificate and approached the table where the Albanian was. They shot him with over 20 bullets leaving him dead on the spot.
As a result, 26-year-old Angie Romero, who was at the adjacent table, was also injured.
