5.2 million Euros have been made available to agritourism.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Frida Krifca says that from January 10 until February 25, the 4th call of the IPARD program will remain open to welcome businesses and individuals who want to invest in the village.
To benefit from this fund the conditions are simple. Krifca says that if you have an old house in the village and a new idea, apply now to set up your hostel.
“Today is the first day of the 4th call of the IPARD program, we have opened this call only for the mass of rural tourism and recreational sports as well as manufacturing and handicrafts. We have opened it for these specific elements of sub-sectors because we have noticed that there is an increased demand and the budget which is currently unengaged from the previous calls and from the previous measures we have dedicated to these sub-sectors “, said Frida Krifca .
Setting up inns means keeping the Albanian tradition alive. These inns should not lack traditional elements such as hospitality and organic food to local farmers.
“The budget available only for this call will go somewhere around 5.2 million Euros. Financing measures start from 10 thousand Euros to 400 thousand Euros for investments in the construction or reconstruction of existing facilities which will always be in the traditional format and for this a certificate of authenticity is obtained from the Institute of the Cultural Monument, as we want these investments to be in accordance with the characteristics of the area where they are “, said Krifca.
The opening of inns and agritourism stops young people from leaving the village. As an old house in the village can be turned into a tourist attraction, so the Albanian tradition is known by local and foreign tourists.
