Marseille paid 14 million euros to Boca Juniors in the summer of 2019 to provide the services of Dario Benedetto.
The Argentine striker scored 16 goals in Ligue 1 with the French team, while this season he is playing in La Liga.
The 31-year-old has been loaned to Elche and so far counts two goals in the Spanish football elite. Benedetto has a contract with Marseille until the summer of 2023.
The player misses his homeland and is looking to return to Boca Juniors, one of the most popular Latin football teams, where he played in 2016-2019.
In a statement for Ole, Benedetto has openly expressed the desire to play again in “Bombonera”, the stadium where he is an absolute idol of the local fans.
His agent has started negotiations with Juan Roman Riquelme (vice president of Boca Juniors) to reach an agreement as soon as possible for the goal scorer to return to Buenos Aires.
