Kosovar judoka Loriana Kuka has managed to win the gold medal at the European Open in Sarajevo.
On the road to gold, Kuka in the first round passed without a fight, while in the second round he defeated Wazaari and Turkish Ippon Serdem Daharli, reports KosovaPress.
In the quarterfinals, Loriana defeated Dutch judoka Lieke Derks with Ippon, while in the semifinals she triumphed with Wazaari against Croatian Petrunjela Pavic.
In the final, Kuka faced the Italian judoka Linda Politi, whom he defeated in overtime, thus securing another medal for Kosovo.
Along with Loriana Kukës, today Arbër Kullashi and Shpati Zekaj also competed, but the competitions for both are over.
After the gold and silver medals of Distria Krasniqi, now Loriana Kuka joins Krasniqi as two judokas who in 2022 have provided Kosovo with three medals so far.
