After several months without a team, French winger Hatem Ben Arfa signed with Lille in early 2022, as he has played 7 games so far, but has not managed to leave a trace in any of them, as he has not yet found the net. .
The 35-year-old has recently become the protagonist again with his behavior, after a clash with coach Gourvennec, has caused the management to temporarily exclude him from the team, until a second decision.
It all happened after the goalless draw against Bordeaux, with Ben Arfa exploding in the locker room saying: We are playing far behind, not as a team that wants to defend the place in the Champions zone. We are not at Guingamp here… (reminded the coach of the team he led in the past).
Ben Arfa’s contract with Lille expires in June, however the French club have opened an investigation into the striker and the possibility of the deal being terminated immediately is not ruled out.
