Berisha-Alibeaj, fatal clash / Confrontation on the eve of the decision of the court of appeal

The new movement was not welcomed by Berisha.

“Enkelejd Alibeaj, you are no longer the chairman of the parliamentary group because you have committed a very serious violation, because you have sued the PD in violation of the law. Can a close associate of Edi Rama claim a platform submission with acts against the DP? This can not happen”said Berisha.

A no-confidence motion for Enkelejd Alibeaj has remained tentative.

“Enkelejdi asked for the vote of confidence in the group but it was not accepted as a request “he said in “Top Story”.

“Absolutely no voting was done. “Mr. Alibeaj has tried from time to time to invite the deputies to raise their hand, but no hand was raised in that hall”, said Berisha.

Enkelejd Alibeaj, as vice president of the group has authorized the lawsuit against the decision Zhukri. Alibeaj’s supporters see it as an attempt by Berisha to withdraw the lawsuit through the new deputy speaker he will elect in the April 30th Assembly. Berisha himself avoided a direct answer:

“Enkelejd Alibeaj did not file a lawsuit in court as chairman of the parliamentary group. He made him chairman of Gaz Bardhi. It is not legitimized “.

Attempts to block lawsuits through political monopolies are not a new practice for Albanian politics. A precedent was set 1 year ago by the Socialists with Voltana Ademi when they fired her as head of the Association of Municipalities. The Democratic mayor denounced the Socialist movement as an attempt to withdraw her lawsuit in the Constitutional Court for the 2019 local elections. But this practice did not work, as Pjerin Ndreu, although he took the post of Voltana Ademi in the Association of Municipalities, could not block the lawsuit for the election, which was brought to an end by the Constitutional Court.
