Police in China have begun cordoning off people’s homes at night as they seek to isolate communities under the pretext of spreading Covid infections.
Communist authorities have set up unannounced green fences amid appalling isolation in the capital, Shanghai, in a bid to curb the movement of people, turning them into “laboratory communities”.
The 25 million people in Shanghai have been locked in their homes for three weeks by what authorities claim to be an increase in cases of infection, at a time when hundreds of people locked in high-rise residential towers have been thrown to their deaths from balconies.
Xi JInping’s government authorities say that in areas with infections no one can leave the house, whether or not they are infected.
Other images on social media show employees in infectious protective clothing patrolling the city and closing the entrances to green fences.
Citizens have been pushed to their limits as the government has taken babies and young children to parents as part of previously unheard of isolation.
The most recent escalation was the two-meter-high green fences, described as “sealed areas” where at least one person tested positive with Covid.
A foreign resident told the network BBC that green fences began to be seen in his area two days ago.
He said the main entrance of the complex was chained after one of the neighbors had tested positive.
The man who did not want to be named said: “There is a long corridor in our complex, and inside this corridor they put a green fence two days ago, no one told us the reason for what it was decided. Now I can not go out. We are hopeless, we know nothing when isolation will stop. What if a fire falls from where we escape? “No one who has the brains in order can isolate people’s homes.”
A documentary filmmaker in China, Chris Pc, posted on Twitter what he had heard from residents.
“We have heard stories of residents refusing to come out for mass testing.”
“Some people think that such isolation is just to divide people.”
“They hope not to be punished for the lack of cooperation from other communities, but this is like lying to yourself. “The erection of these fences without any official explanation has surprised many people.” // TheSun //
