Today’s assassination attempt on Joan Muçllari brings back to the scene the event of August 2020, when in the middle of the tourist season, a barrage of bullets was fired at his father’s hotel, when dozens of tourists were inside.
The “Voloreka” hotel was attacked several times in a short period of time, the most severe on August 8, when hail of bullets hit several vehicles parked in the “Voloreka” hotel in Tushemisht and damaged the building.
In the video that was published then, one of the assassins is seen, with a Kalashnikov in his hands and disguised. As he was walking armed, the person in question opened fire on the vehicles, where 7 luxury cars ended up damaged. The cause of the attack was a previous quarrel between the owner’s son and 37-year-old Mariglen Topuzi.
For the event, the police arrested Ilir Berberi and his 3 collaborators: Ilir Meçolli, Ardian Xhuti and Elvir Haxhia.
Muçllari’s conflicts do not seem to be closed as today, in the neighborhood “Voloreka” it is suspected that the son of Ilir Berberi, Firdeus Berberi and Graisi Maxhari, persons with a previous criminal record have shot at him, leaving him injured in the leg.
