The murder was triggered by a physical fight that the victim had had with one of the suspects some time ago in Italy. Along with the Gashi brothers who are charged with the criminal offense of aggravated murder, in the prepared attack was also their uncle, who is currently charged with aiding and abetting the murder.
The suspects’ uncle is thought to have helped them get to and from the scene.
The five suspects of the Gashi family are in custody for 48 hours, while the Basic Prosecution of Peja will make a request for detention.
The incident happened on Thursday evening at 20:43 minutes, according to the Kosovo Police, three injured people were given medical treatment, but at the Peja Regional Hospital, doctors found the death of the 23-year-old from gunshot wounds.
