Serbia today confirmed the first case with the line of monkeys.
The Institute of Public Health in Serbia said in a statement that the case is imported. It is also reported that all measures have been taken to identify, test, report and control the further spread of the infection.
What is known so far is that monkey pox is a virus that causes fever, skin rash and acne.
The virus is spread through close contact between animals and, less frequently, between humans. It is more common in African countries, but recently there have been cases in Europe as well.
