Loris Karius will never forget that Champions League final against Real Madrid.
Two mistakes of the German goalkeeper, cost Liverpool dearly, who nevertheless returned very quickly to climb to the roof of the world.
Karius claims to have “buried” that day in the depths of his memory. “This happened years ago, it does not matter anymore, I left it behind. “This topic bothers me,” he told the official Bundesliga website in October last year.
Neither his experience at Besiktas nor his loan spell at Union Berlin have helped the German goalkeeper strengthen and regain his best level. In June, after the break, Karius returned to Liverpool to join the team with which he has a contract until the end of the season, but is not expected to go down on the field with “The Reds”.
In a few weeks, the winter market opens, which can offer a new opportunity to the 28-year-old. According to “Kicker”, Greuther Fürth, the last player in the Bundesliga standings, is looking for a goalkeeper after the serious injury of Marius Frunk. Loris is waiting, just waiting for a signal from the German club as soon as the year starts. A ray of hope that may be the last train to stay in the elite./ Supersport
