The two deputy directors of the Elbasan police, who were accused of abuse of office in connection with the case of the murder of Pjerin Xhuvani during the election campaign of April 25, have appeared before the court today to get acquainted with the security measure.
Albert Nushi, former director of crimes in Elbasan and deputy director of the Berat police, appeared unaccompanied, even drank coffee with colleagues near the court and then entered the court.
We recall that Nushi was placed under house arrest. When he left the hearing he refused to comment on the cameras, saying only that he was not represented by a lawyer.
The Police Oversight Agency together with the Elbasan Prosecutor’s Office have investigated police officers for abuse of office and false statement before the judicial police officer.
The court placed under house arrest the deputy director of the Berat police, Albert Nushi, who at the time of the incident was the deputy director for crimes in Elbasan. In the same security measure was left Nikollaq Palla Deputy Director for Public Order and Security in the Elbasan Police.
On April 21, 2021, during an armed clash between two political groups, Dr. Pjerin Xhuvani, then exponent of the SP, was killed, while four other people were injured, including a police officer.
