Louie and Qazim Suljovic, Albanians from Montenegro, were injured last Saturday as they tried to rescue the elderly woman from robbers. Qazim is in the care of doctors while Louie has given an interview for “Albania Live” showing the details of the serious event.
“It was a normal day, we were working and I heard a scream I saw the father running towards the lady and I followed him to help him and all the people were shouting, please help this woman who is being stolen. The father tried to protect him, removing the knife from the attacker’s hand, but he was stabbed several times in the back. He and I suffered multiple stab wounds to the lungs and back. “It’s important that no one died.” showed Louie.
The elderly woman told the police that the suspects had approached her from behind and after pushing her, they had torn her bag with a knife.
Father and son received praise from the City Council, while a foundation has been opened for them in GoFoundMe, to help Qazim recover.
“Louie and his father are among the best citizens of New York. “We thank them for their bravery and wish them a speedy recovery.” wrote on Twitter the American police.
