Deputy Minister of Interior Julian Hodaj has introduced this morning the new prefect of Kukës Region Ali Hallaçi.
Hodaj congratulated the mayor for the appointment and expressed confidence that he will best perform this task in the service of citizens and the law.
Former mayor Zenel Kuçana during the handover of the position which he held for 4 years and 7 months, expressed gratitude to all leaders in the three municipalities and congratulated the new mayor.
The new mayor Hallaçi underlined that the appointment to this post is not only a privilege, but first, increased responsibility and encouragement to do the best in the service of the citizens of the entire Kukes Region.
The ceremony took place in the premises of the Prefecture, which was attended by officials of this institution, elected leaders of local government, former mayor Zenel Kuçana, as well as representatives of law enforcement agencies in the region.
Ali Hallaçi, was the mufti of Kukës in the years 2001-2010.
