With the closing of the third phase of the season, there is no longer any doubt about the objectives that the Superior teams have for the rest of the season.
There are already 9 challenges to be developed until the final verdict and all 12 teams have a pencil in hand to make the final calculations. Although in the first three phases in all meetings the VAR system was applied, there were controversies in special cases for decisions dictated by technology. But if you refer to the statistics, there is a kind of balance on the pros and cons of VAR decisions in 27 weeks.
The team that has “benefited” the most from the intervention of technology is Partizani, since 15 decisions in total taken after reviewing the images on the monitor, in 9 cases had them in favor and four others against. The red team is also the one that has won more 11-meters, full 9 (only 6 has turned into goals), ie 1 in every three matches, while against it is given 4 and all are scored. But even with these “aids” Partizan has disappointed in the championship.
The team has been “punished” more by the VAR system is Vllaznia: 9 decisions taken with the intervention of technology have not been in favor of the red and blues, while in 7 cases it has been “favored”. In terms of penalties, as in the cases of Laç and Kukës, the team from Shkodra won 6 11-meters and was given 3 against.
Interesting fact that a team of Superiore has not had any decision of the VAR in his favor: it is exactly Kastrioti, who after the intervention of technology, has been punished in 4 cases.
Tirana is the clearest example that shows that a strong and contending team is not affected by the results it gets on the green field by the VAR decisions (yes and against) or the number of penalties it wins. Both of these indicators in the case of the badheblus tend to be negative, but Orges Shehi’s team convincingly leads the championship.
The use of the VAR system has removed a heavy burden from the arbitrators, as in crucial cases the signal is given by the VAR chamber, to confirm or cancel a dubious decision. However, in the AFF there is a referee evaluation committee and of course the best we judge more matches in Superiore. Below is a classification of the main referees based on the number of matches refereed.
