The American F-15 fighter jets, taking off from the Lakenheath base in England, arrived at the 32nd tactical air base in Lask, Poland to support the eastern wing of NATO, reports Anadolu Agency (AA).
Today, US F-15 fighter jets arrived at Lask Air Base, which will support the eastern flank as part of NATO’s ‘AirPolicing’ mission. “The planes will stay in Poland until the end of February,” Polish Defense Minister Mariusz Blaszczak said in a statement.
As announced, US fighter jets that arrived in Poland as part of the NATO mission will support the 58th airspace patrol, which also includes Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia.
The F-15s are said to be supporting Baltic air force forces and helping detect Russian planes that do not report their flight plans and locations.
