The Luhansk region of eastern Ukraine has come under intense attack in the past 24 hours, destroying buildings.
The head of the regional military administration, Serhiy Haidai, said a woman died in the attacks that hit the hospital in Severodonetsk, an area which has been under constant destruction for weeks.
“The Russians knew that the hospital was not empty, there were patients in different conditions with doctors, that did not stop them. The destruction of the building is considerable, several floors were immediately damagedSaid Haidai.
According to CNN in the city were heard frequent bursts of artillery, which were around the hospital.
The attacks have destroyed gas pipelines in most of the region, while work is underway to repair damaged areas.
The head of the military administration of the city of Popasna, Mykola Khanatov said that the situation there is terrible, sad and painful.
About 2,000 people have been stranded in the area, and evacuations are being carried out in small numbers due to the danger.
“There are still about 2,000 people left in Popasna. We are trying to arrange evacuation every day. We evacuate about 50 people every day. “But unfortunately, we control only half of the city, the other half is occupied.” said Khanatov.
A nine-storey building was all destroyed after the airstrikes last night, while work continues to rescue residents. The area already lacks gas, electricity, water and doctors.
