The Chairman of the Parliamentary Group of the Socialist Party Taulant Balla welcomed the Resolution of the European Parliament on the Report of the Commission 2021 as well as the very supportive and encouraging debate held in the plenary session today.
Through a post on the social network “Facebook”, Balla expresses his gratitude to the Rapporteur of the European Parliament for Albania, Isabel Maria Santos for presenting objective findings regarding the progress of the country vis a vis the integration process and the appeal for the immediate holding of the Conference of First Intergovernmental Agreement between Albania and the European Union within the French Presidency of the European Council.
Balla also writes that it was a nice surprise for the national team jersey worn by MEP Ciarán Cuffe, as a genuine fan of Albania, which Balla gave him.

I welcome the European Parliament Resolution on the 2021 Commission Report as well as the very supportive and encouraging debate that took place in the plenary session today.
Thanks to the Rapporteur of the European Parliament for Albania, Isabel Maria Santos for presenting the objective findings regarding the progress of the country vis a vis the integration process and the appeal for the immediate holding of the First Intergovernmental Conference between Albania and the European Union within the French Presidency of the Council European.
Thank you also to all MEPs who unanimously supported the necessity of progress in Albania’s European agenda. A pleasant and beautiful surprise was the national team jersey worn by MEP Ciarán Cuffe, as a genuine fan of Albania.
The representative of the European Commission, Didier Reynders, stressed the determination in fulfilling the conditions by Albania for holding the First Intergovernmental Conference, and requested the holding of the First Intergovernmental Conference with Albania as soon as possible.
