The Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Belinda Balluku paid an official visit to Athens where she had special meetings with the Minister of Energy and Environment, Costas Skrekas, the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Costas Karamanlis and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Costas Fragogiannis.
In a statement to the media, after the meetings, Minister Balluku announced that the discussions focused on concrete issues which will be part of the work agenda between the two countries to advance joint projects.
In the meeting held with the Minister of Energy and Environment in the Greek Government, it was discussed on the increase of cooperation in the energy sector, especially regarding the exchange of energy between the two countries.

While in the meeting held with Costas Karamanlis, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, the focus was on the two infrastructure projects which connect the two countries, the Blue Corridor and the railway line that will pass from Pogradec to the exit of Jeropigia in Greece. Regarding this project, Balluku said that together with the Greek counterpart they will soon sign a memorandum of cooperation and understanding.
“In the coming days we will sign a memorandum of cooperation and understanding regarding a joint project, a project which connects our two countries by rail. The railway to be built from Pogradec to the exit of Jeropigia in terms of Greek land connecting it with the city of Kastoria.
