A second level bank was robbed on Friday morning in the Dardania neighborhood in Prishtina.
Three persons still unidentified by the police entered the bank and under the threat of a weapon received a still undetermined amount of money. Local media report that the bank staff and citizens who were at the bank in those moments to receive their services were shocked by the serious act, which fortunately brought only monetary losses and not harm to people.
Kosovo Police say that the event happened at 8:40 am but have not yet revealed more details.
Meanwhile, immediately after the event, the Kosovo Banking Association reacted by calling on the police to clarify the event as soon as possible and to punish the perpetrators as much as possible, so that there is no repetition of such an act.
They raise the concern that in recent years the banking sector has faced high numbers of attacks under the threat of guns.
