The chairman of the Democratic Party, Lulzim Basha, this Wednesday in a meeting with the members of the 14th branch in Tirana, said that the fight of the Democrats against Edi Rama will be an uncompromising opposition. In this battle, as he calls it, the leader of the Democrats invites all honest Albanians to join.
“Two things have united us and called us to this battle, together with the entire Albanian society; frontal and uncompromising oppositionism against Edi Rama and Euro-Atlantic values! Others have joined us around these values, even people who did not necessarily initially see hope in the Democratic Party. Today they are joining even more“, He said.
For the leader of the Democratic Party, after the decisions taken in the National Assembly, the vast majority of Albanians have a hope for the future of the country.
“I assure you that this hope is not the three knights of the apocalypse“, Said Basha, adding further that the hope of this country is neither the remnants of the past nor the trio of transition that seeks to hold, according to him, the country hostage.
He emphasizes that the only alternative government of the country is the Democratic Party, members of this party, honest citizens and Albanian youth.
“And yet, even those Democrats, many of whom have written to me today and I am sure have written to you and many of you, some of them have written publicly on Facebook, my strict criticism is to say the least, critical wild, and write them; “Sali Berisha deceived us!” “You’s done the whole battle to hand over the party to Ilir Meta!” Never! The Democratic Party belongs to the Democrats! The Democratic Party is the sacrifice of the Democrats! The Democratic Party belongs to Albania and the Albanian nation“, Said Basha.
According to him, what is democratic will remain democratic, will not be tarnished by the shadows of corruption.
“Times are dark, challenges are great, but what is Albanian will remain Albanian, what is democratic will remain democratic, and will not be tainted by the shadows of corruption, nor by the remnants of the past, nor will we allow them to compromise and hold Albania hostage, and to keep Albania in place. We are so close to achieving one of the dreams we were born with, a normal, developed Albania“, Said the leader of the Democrats.
