The head of the SP Parliamentary Group, Taulant Balla, has responded to the opposition’s accusations about opening a joint customs point with Greece.
In the rostrum of the Assembly, Balla told the opposition deputies that they should apologize for the agreement they signed in 2009, according to which, he says that Albania would have lost thousands of square meters of sea.
On the other hand, he says that they should vote for this agreement and not give speeches starting from Greece to end up with turkey oil and turkey. He did not hesitate to ironize Berisha by saying that EU membership causes him phobia.
“I think the DP should vote for this agreement. I do not find a connection between the pro-agreement vote and the arguments that arise. These are agreements that even between EU member states, operate with such centers, which have clearly specified the reason why they are set up. We all agree that cross-border crime has become detectable and punishable if such centers are set up. The center will operate at the Kakavija customs. In the last 30 years we have had all sorts of forms across borders, from clandestines to drugs. Intensifying communication between our two countries is something useful.
I do not know where he found the pathos to be inspired for speeches that start with a very good deal with Greece, to put it in and out of the oil, to the turkeys, and I do not know. Ti z. Sula, you voted for the 2009 agreement, which was made by Luli and Saliu, because they have put together all the dirt. Saliu is ‘non grata’, but Luli is also a part, because he cannot be forgiven. It’s not the 2009 deal.
If it were not for the SP group, to take that agreement to the Constitutional Court, Albania would have lost thousands of square meters of sea, due to an agreement signed by Saliu, Saliu was up, Luli down. This is not that deal. On the contrary, Albanian and Greek police officers will work together in the fight against trafficking. So please do the opposition when you have arguments. Whether you like it or not, Albania will move forward on the European path.
There will come a time when we will join the EU, or the Schengen area, and there will be no more borders. We are also negotiating new spaces, which are the forerunners of Schengen membership. I know that these cause phobia, openness, EU integration for Sali Berisha. But I think the rest of you should not make deals that do the country any good. There are thousands of Albanians who have been unjustly denied entry to Greek territory, due to actions that may have been arbitrary at one point. When good work is done, we should all congratulate the government. The work must be intensified. “If you have anything to say, whenever you take the floor when it comes to the agreement with Greece, start with an apology for the 2009 agreement.” tha Balla.
