Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha has made serious accusations this Thursday in the assembly hall, while he returned after four months.
He said that the Prime Minister Edi Rama should be investigated, calling the leader of Medusa together with the leader of the Democratic Party, Lulzim Basha, describing Lul Brava as a hostage.
Berisha accuses the two politicians of involvement in the crime of money laundering. According to him, Rama is accused of laundering 200 million euros in offshore areas, while the Prime Minister closed the case in the Court of Appeals.
“The head of Medusa accused of laundering 200 million euros in offshore areas for which he never denied, but no less Lul Brava who was investigated by the Tirana Prosecutor’s Office and the investigation was closed. If we are to become serious in the fight against this ugly crime that feeds all other crimes including terrorism we must put in full investigation both the head of Medusa and his hostage Lul Brava. To whom he closed the case on Appeal and did not send it to the High Court. Money laundering the main mechanism. “It is better for the parliament to do this.” said Berisha.
Before entering the assembly, Berisha said that he was returning only for the respect of the people and the meetings with the rostrum were the real parliament.
Berisha also made a long reaction to the protest of the residents of May 5 who came today to the doors of the parliament after their houses were demolished a few days ago. According to Berisha, towers will be built there in which Lulzim Basha is a partner.
The civil war in the DP is still going on, while Berisha has warned that there will be other protests except January 8.
The deep and violent clash to take control of the blue headquarters in Tirana, has left the place for the meetings of Lulzim Basha and Sali Berisha in a tour throughout the country.
The two Democrats have rallied forces to keep their supporters close, as the Democratic Party’s domestic political situation becomes increasingly tense.
