The Democratic Party is ready to face the challenge opened by Ilir Meta for early elections in 6 municipalities of the country.

The surprise was the departure of Alfred Rushaj from the leadership of the group, a post which this session will be held by Enkelejd Alibeaj, who is also the deputy chairman of the party.
This move caused a domino effect in several other PD representation positions in Parliament. In addition to the function of Deputy Speaker of the Democratic Party, Agron Gjekmarkaj took the post of Deputy Speaker of the Assembly. Flutura Açka was entrusted with his place in the Media Commission.
The meeting of the Council was not a revenge against all the Berishists in the DP. Sorina Koti and Luciano Boci were not affected by their posts in the Assembly. The same fate did not befall Albana Vokshi, who was fired as head of the Parliamentary Committee on Health and replaced by Grida Duma.
Oerd Bylykbashi was also dismissed from the post of Deputy Chairman of the Law Commission, being replaced by MP Dhurata Çupi. The National Council approved a new regulation which makes it possible to replace about 220 members of this body who support Berisha.
