The former leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, arrived at the Assembly and stopped to speak in front of journalists about the protest of the residents of May 5 and Lapraka.
They were in front of the Assembly building to protest the demolition of the flats while now they have moved in front of the US embassy.
In his speech, Berisha said: “What is happening is a genuine inhuman act, a flagrant violation of the freedoms and rights of citizens, a fraud with the towers that are being built on their lands.
I emphasize that there is a law of possession of property that according to a certain deadline, the one who owns the property enjoys the rights of the owner and the owner is compensated. The government behind it, in order to declare them illegal, to take the floors they want for themselves, to behave in this way towards the residents, I call on the citizens of Tirana to show solidarity with them. “
Regarding the March 6 elections, he said: “The members of the Democratic Party today have the most excellent candidates and the candidates of victory presented before you 3 years ago.”
