President Joe Biden said Thursday that the United States is making progress in the fight against COVID-19 and that it was good news that regulators had extended acceptance for COVID-19 booster vaccines to 16- and 17-year-olds.
Biden also said it was encouraging news that preliminary data show that three doses of the Pfizer vaccine offer protection against the Omicron variant.
“My message is very direct and simple. “If you were vaccinated six months ago, get your booster right away,” said the president.
