The hydrocarbon market has reacted faster than the Transparency Board to new oil prices.
In the early hours of Friday morning, in retail outlets, oil is sold for 6 lek cheaper, while gasoline was increased by 1 lek.
The domestic market has reflected the decrease of the oil price in the international markets, but not in the same value as two weeks ago. When on March 14 the oil was at the level of 105 dollars per barrel, in the tables of Albania the price was 217 lek / liter .
Whereas, today it is at the same levels, prices in Albania are fixed at 231 ALL / liter.
This price increase is due to the Board’s decision to recognize market operators with some other fixed costs, such as operating costs. These additional costs are estimated at 15 ALL.
With the accounts according to the public table of the Transparency Board, taking the exchange rate, the price of oil together with profit margins is almost 210 ALL. Plus the operating costs, the price should have been below 225 lek, while in the table today it is 6 lek higher.
On the other hand the price of gasoline has remained low. Operators say it is cheaper due to large stocks.
Gas is another energy product that has come with a significant increase from two weeks ago, from 93 lek that was sold, ending at 115 lek.
