The Minister of Brexit, Lord Frost, has resigned from the cabinet, reports “Mail on Sunday”.
Lord Frost, who has led negotiations with the EU, reportedly handed over his resignation letter to British Prime Minister Boris Johnson last week. But “Mail on Sunday” reports that he would stay until January.
The paper reported that what prompted Lord Frost’s decision was the introduction of plan B coronavirus measures, including the implementation of coronavirus certifications.
It is also said that he was disappointed by the tax increase and the cost of zero net policies.
He has recently been embroiled in tense rounds of talks with European Commission Vice President Maroš Šefčovič as the UK and EU try to close gaps in post-Brexit deals.
