Police sources suggest that a 53-year-old with the initials Gj. P. and a 26-year-old with the initials KL, were put in handcuffs, after cultivating narcotics in two environments adapted with lamps in the village of Derven.
Also, the Police services found and seized narcotics, seedlings and electrical equipment that were used for cultivation of narcotic plants.
Following the arrest of the two persons, work continues to apprehend the NL citizen, as well as to identify and apprehend other persons involved in this criminal activity.

The police operation codenamed “LED 2” is successfully finalized, to prevent and crack down on criminal activity in the field of narcotics cultivation.
The operation, conducted by DVP Durrës, in cooperation with the Regional Directorate of AMP Durrës, following the police operation codenamed “Led”.
Revealed 2 premises (dwellings), which were adapted for the cultivation of narcotic plants, by means of lamps.
Seized 17.1 kilograms of cannabis (7.6 kg in the form of chocolate), 156 cannabis seedlings, cultivated in vases and cubes, 80 bulbs used for cannabis cultivation indoors, 46 throttles, 22 nickel-plated metal plates for indoor lighting, and 2 aspirators
2 citizens are handcuffed, another is declared wanted.
Following the work to prevent and crack down on criminal activity in the field of narcotics cultivation, as well as based on information received on the operational road that in the village of Derven, Kruja some citizens owned facilities (apartments), adapted for the cultivation of narcotic plants , DVP Durrës, in cooperation with the Regional Directorate of AMP Durrës, organized and finalized the police operation codenamed “Led 2”.
As a result of this operation, the following citizens were arrested:
Gj. P., 53 years old, resident in Bushnesh, Kruja,
- L., 26 years old, resident in Derven, Kruja.
Also, NL citizen, 35 years old, resident in Derven, Kruja, was declared wanted.
Following the operation, during the control exercised in the apartments of citizens Gj. P. and NL, Police services, have ascertained 2 premises adapted for cultivation of narcotic plants, by means of lamps. Also, the Police services found and seized narcotics, seedlings and electrical equipment that were used for cultivation of narcotic plants.
Work continues to apprehend the NL citizen, as well as to identify and apprehend other persons involved in this criminal activity.
The materials were forwarded for further investigation to the Prosecutor’s Office at the Kruja Judicial District Court, for the criminal offenses “Production and sale of narcotics” and “Cultivation of narcotic plants”, committed in collaboration.
