American rapper Cardi B has recently given her opinion on the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
The 29-year-old said that world leaders should not focus on war and added that she is neither on the side of “NATO” nor Russia.
“In fact I want to say many things but I will look at my work because I believe that with a platform as big as mine if I do not say the right things, they can kill me,” begins Cardi B video shared on Twitter.
“I am not on the side of NATO,” she continued. “I am not on the side of Russia either, I am in fact on the side of the citizens because in the end we are going through a crisis.”
Cardi B then explained in the video her views on the Russia-Ukraine crisis, when asked by a user.

“I would like world leaders to stop thinking only about power and actually think about the affected citizens, the whole world is in crisis. “War, sanctions, invasions, should have been the last three things they had to think about.”
American network Foxnews writes that the White House started calling the operation in Ukraine “invasion” yesterday and promised “quick and harsh” sanctions against Russia.
This is not the first time Cardi B has spoken out loud about politics.
Ahead of the 2020 US presidential election, she urged people to vote for Joe Biden, adding that she was upset “every time she spoke” by Donald Trump.
