The Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) in the US is appealing to the Russians through a channel on the Instagram network, to oppose President Putin and turn into US spies.
Media networks say that the CIA sent the message posted in Russian last night, through its Instagram account.
The eight-photo split post details how to contact the CIA using the “dark network TOR finder”, or using VPN trackers, as Russia could track and locate individuals. They added that the CIA would not respond to those who contacted them with insecure communications.
The English part of the post read: “The CIA is giving instructions in Russian to those who feel compelled to contact us by the Russian government’s unjust war.”
“Our global mission requires individuals to contact the CIA from anywhere, safely.”
As the Russian section wrote: “Safe ways to establish virtual communication with the CIA.
“We urge you to take all measures to keep your communication private.”
The development comes after several repeated losses in recent days in the war, as Putin reportedly took control of the campaign in Ukraine.
That is why the CIA is already sending instructions directly to the Russian people.
The Instagram post read: “Your safety is paramount – so take the following precautions before contacting us.
“Do not use your home or work computer to contact us.”
“It is recommended to have a computer with an internet connection that is not connected to your identity.”
“Make sure the browser version is up to date, and use ‘private browsing’ mode.”
“Once you have completed all the moves, delete the search history in your search engine.”
“The preferred method of contact is with the TOR network or a trusted anti-VPN tracker to maintain security.
“Without them, any site you visit could be tracked by intelligence agencies or third parties.”
“The content of our websites is encrypted, but without the use of TOR or VPN, your online activity can be monitored by third parties.”
The post then gives the address of the TOR searcher, which is used by special programs for the “dark network” part of the Internet.
