Young men and women, who love nature, from all over Albania and Kosovo, emigrants but also tourists came together to clean Lake Shkodra.
The initiative of “Volunteers for a clean homeland” also challenged the rain to give Shiroka and Zogaj a dignified image on the eve of the tourist season
We have been living in Albania since August and have settled in Shkodra. When we heard about this initiative, we immediately got involved as a family to help you clean up the lake.
“We need to remind each other that everything we see is our responsibility and we need to clean up. For us, Albania is a hidden paradise in Europe and I believe that tourism should be the key to the Albanian economy, so let’s help tourism“, Said one of the participants.
“Albania is very, very beautiful and I like everything from nature to food. We came together with the parents to clean up. “I call on my Albanian peers to store the waste and then throw it in the bin.”
Such initiatives can not end the problem of urban waste in Albania but aim at raising public awareness.
Last year, young people made it possible in the Shkodra region to make possible the cleaning of Lake Koman.
