Officials in Colorado announced on Friday that the fact that no casualties were reported as a result of a massive fire that engulfed several urban areas in this state is truly a miracle.
The fire spread at breakneck speed north of Denver, destroying more than 1,000 homes.
The fire was driven by strong winds at a speed of 169 km per hour. As a result the flames spread rapidly burning entire neighborhoods on Thursday.
Authorities say the situation is already under control, the winds have calmed down and the snow has started, writes VOA.
The fire engulfed about 6,000 acres of land in just a few hours. Six people were treated for minor injuries.
