Intensive controls continue by the Traffic Police of Berat, for the identification and punishment of violators of the Traffic Code, in order to increase the parameters of road safety.
Controls are mainly focused on violations that are the source of the accident.
A total of 321 drivers were administratively prosecuted for various violations of the Road Code.
3 drivers were arrested in flagrante delicto, 2 of them after driving the vehicle, in a drunken state, while another 1 because he was driving the vehicle, without a driving license.
15 drivers were administratively prosecuted for speeding.
13 drivers were administratively prosecuted for using the mobile device while driving.
32 drivers were administratively prosecuted for not wearing a seat belt.
58 administrative measures have been imposed for wrong overtaking.
2 driving licenses have been suspended, for driving under the influence of alcohol.
15 administrative measures have been imposed for the direction of the motor vehicle, without a protective helmet.
Another 186 administrative measures have been imposed for violations of various traffic rules.
Berat Traffic Police will continue the controls in all urban, interurban and rural road axes, for all categories of vehicles, in order to prevent road accidents.
