On “Bajram Curri” boulevard, the Police services stopped a vehicle, the driver of which, after an alcohol test, turned out to be driving drunk. In order to avoid the administrative measure for the violation, the driver of the vehicle offered a sum of money to the Police employees.
Also, during the last week, the Traffic Police officers, during the verification of an accident, arrested the driver of one of the vehicles involved in the accident, the citizen GM, 25 years old, after it turned out that he was driving under the influence of alcohol and narcotics.
79 driving licenses have been suspended, for driving under the influence of alcohol, for speeding and for other violations of the Road Code.
4177 administrative measures have been imposed, with an average of 596 measures per day, specifically for driving under the influence of alcoholic beverages, for wrong overtaking, for using a mobile phone, for not wearing a seat belt, for speeding beyond the allowed norms, for traffic light violations, for not giving priority to pedestrians, for black windows, for not putting on a protective helmet, for wrong attitudes, etc.
11 vehicles were blocked, for lack of documentation or with foreign license plates, which were passed for further verifications to the Section against Illegal Trafficking in DVP Tirana.
