The data of the information systems of the government services are safe and unaffected by the cyber attack of the previous day against the official websites, according to a reaction of the Prime Minister.
On Sunday, the National Agency of the Information Society informed Albanians that it is forced to block access to public services in order to cope with successive and sophisticated attacks from outside Albania.
In the press release of the Prime Minister’s Office, it is stated that the detection and quick response to these attacks made the government systems emerge intact.
“Since the first moments of the identification of this attack, AKSHI has been cooperating closely with our Microsoft partners through their best cyber experts of Detection and Response to Incidents (DART team). Also, the experts of “Jones Group International” are here to deal with the situation and return to normal as soon as possible.
Government systems are all backed up and secure. At this moment we are verifying system by system that the latter are safe in every element, before they come back online and in full functionality.
At the same time, all institutional actors are in full readiness and in constant communication for a deep and detailed investigation of this cybercrime.
There is no room for political controversy as long as we are facing a common enemy in this cyber war, so let’s let the experts do their job so that any system that comes back to work is functional and, above all, safe.”
