The number of cases with COVID-19 in Denmark has continued to be at a record level in the last 3 days, reports Anadolu Agency (AA).
According to Danish press reports, the State Serum Institute has announced that 6,985 cases of COVID-19 have been reported in the country in the last 24 hours.
The statement of the Institute draws attention that the number of cases in the country has increased to record levels in the last 3 days and that intensive care units are being filled.
News on TV2 claims that intensive care units across the country have left seats for about 10 people.
Professor Anders Perner speaking to TV2 noted that there are fewer vacancies left in the intensive care units compared to the same period last year and that they are very concerned about this situation.
In Denmark, where about 77 percent of the population has been vaccinated, the number of cases has exceeded 536 thousand while 2,983 others have lost their lives.
The Ministry of Health, as part of the measures taken at the end of November after the increase in the number of cases across the country, imposed the obligation for the vaccination card at the entrances to restaurants and bars as well as the placement of masks in shops and public transport.
