The Durrës Prosecutor’s Office from the examination of the container found that inside it there were 1151 boxes of bananas and not 1200 as stated in the documentation submitted at the time of arrival and unloading of the load.
From the submitted documentation, it appears that the company Zico sh.a has declared the load of 22,800 kg of fresh unripe bananas.
During all the days when the container stayed at the terminal from July 8 to 16, the area, apart from the security cameras, was covered by the service of the Port Security Force with two officers as defined in the regulations, but until July 10 according to the security cameras, there were no suspicious movements in the terminal near the container.
On July 13, at 21:57, the container was moved from the first floor to the third floor, overlapping other containers.
Precisely on July 13 and 14, shift chief Skënder P. planned to serve near the terminal only one person and not two, as provided in the regulations.
The accusation stated that the employee Jurgen Gj. was on duty on July 13, while the area where the container was located was not covered by service.
Even on July 14, only one officer, Veiz Kuçi, was placed in service by the shift chief.
On both of these dates when it is suspected that the container was opened, the shift chief assigned only one officer on duty and left the area with no. 44/1 in the terminal uncovered by service.
