The head of the Socialist Parliamentary Group, Taulant Balla, responded to the accusations of the former Prime Minister Sali Berisha that he had consumed a friendly dinner with the leader of the Democrats, Lulzim Basha.
In a communication with journalists from the Presidency of the Assembly, Balla categorically denied having met Basha in a restaurant.
“I have never in my life been to a dinner with Basha. What Berisha has said is a re-emergence of his 30 years, who have fraudulently left his political legacy”.
He mentions a family tragedy that has brought together many political circles, including him and Basha.
“I was in a family disaster, if you take them in turn, there were people who today joined Berisha’s rostrum. “But the Albanian tradition does not allow you to use a disaster for politics.”
According to the MP, the only meeting with the Democratic leader will be in court. “Basha and I are in a defamation lawsuit, I won in the first instance. My only meeting with him will be in defamation trial“, Says Balla.
